Counter Culture magazine review for This Island Earth

Hello Everyone! Our good friend Christa whom we love visiting with and hanging out with at the Cobalt Cafe (hell ya!) wrote a bitchin review for our record. Check it!

“This Island Earth is one of the most earnest albums I’ve gotten the chance to listen to this year so far. Good hooks and subliminal lyrics will keep you listening longer than you’d expect, not to mention dancing on your couch with a hairbrush in your hand. Conscience: Exit Stage Left is just the song for that. Listen to it on repeat, learn the lyrics, and listen to it some more. The album, what with Riley Hamnett’s imperfect-but-listenable vocals and madness of the songs themselves will leave listeners wondering how the three-piece ensemble that is The Trademark works so well. Oh, the intrigue. This is one CD that has no trouble with energy, but Letter of Resignation is a perfect counter-balance from the vigor that drummer Natty Coleman and bassist Drew Hamnett undoubtedly bring in other songs. To buy the album, go see the band on any of their upcoming tour stints, or check them out on Itunes and Smartpunk. That’s an order, not a request.”
